Privacy Policy

Version: 2026-10-11.2

Last updated: October 11, 2026

TallyTic LLC, a Washington State limited liability company ("TallyTic", "we", "us", or "our"), owns and operates Feedetta ("the Service", available at https://feedetta.com) and is responsible for the information processing described here. We built Feedetta with a commitment to privacy, offline-first operation, and user data ownership.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Feedetta handles, where it is stored, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Principles

  1. No behavioral advertising: Feedetta does not add advertising or use your reading or listening history to build advertising profiles. Publishers and embedded media providers may include ads or tracking in their content. Requests and operational logs are described below.
  2. Offline-first: Your library is stored in your browser by default. Optional sync sends selected records to our hosted database.
  3. No sale of personal data: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information or listening history to third parties.

2. Information Handled by Feedetta

A. Local Device Data (No Account Required)

When using Feedetta without cross-device sync:

  • Your subscriptions, folders, articles, playback positions, queues, read/unread states, and audio downloads are stored in your browser using IndexedDB, Cache Storage, and localStorage.
  • Without sync, we do not keep a server-side copy of your local library or playback state. Fetching feeds, articles, artwork, and audio still sends requests containing URLs and network information to our infrastructure or the relevant publishers. Relay caching and operational logging are described below.
  • Under Settings → Your data → Exports & backups, OPML exports subscriptions and folders. JSON exports feed settings, preferences, and item state, but excludes article text and audio files. Feedetta currently imports OPML only; it cannot restore a JSON export. Export files can reveal your interests, so store and share them carefully.

B. Optional Account & Sync Data

If you voluntarily choose to enable cross-device synchronization:

  • Email Address: We use your email address for account authentication, sign-in emails, and account-related support. We do not use it for marketing newsletters.
  • Sync Records: Supabase stores subscriptions and feed metadata, per-feed settings, folders, read/starred/played/archived status, item identifiers, playback positions and related timestamps, and queue order. Supported preferences sync when enabled on the device. Article bodies and downloaded audio files are not uploaded as part of sync.
  • Security: Row-level security (RLS) restricts ordinary client access to the authenticated account that owns each record. Sync records are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized administrative access by TallyTic LLC and its service providers may be necessary to operate, secure, or support the Service. No system can guarantee absolute security.

C. Legal Acknowledgement Records

  • Without an Account: We store document versions, content hashes, an explicit acknowledgement action, and the device-reported time locally in IndexedDB. No guest acknowledgement record is sent to our servers, and it does not identify a person. Clearing site data removes it.
  • With an Account: We associate an explicit acknowledgement with your account ID and record the document versions and hashes, the acknowledgement action, the device-reported time, and a separate server receipt time. These records show which Terms you agreed to and which Privacy Policy you received. Offline records are queued locally until they can be recorded on the server. We do not add IP addresses, device fingerprints, or your reading history to these records; ordinary request logging is described below.
  • History and Control: You can view your acknowledgement history and export a receipt from Settings. A guest record is not silently converted into account agreement when you sign in. Acknowledging this policy confirms receipt of the notice; it is not consent to optional marketing or tracking.

D. Edge Relays & Networking

  • Direct Playback: Audio streaming connects directly from your device to the podcast publisher's CDN whenever supported.
  • Relays and Caching: Feed, article, artwork, and audio requests may pass through our Cloudflare Workers. Requested URLs and request metadata are processed to retrieve content. Public content may be temporarily cached by Cloudflare or your browser for performance; these caches are separate from account sync records.
  • Operational Logs: Cloudflare processes request metadata such as IP addresses, user-agent information, requested URLs, timestamps, and errors. Worker observability and authentication email logs are enabled; operational logs may include requested content URLs or an email recipient address. These records support delivery, troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention, rather than behavioral advertising.
  • Content Requests: Requested URLs can reveal your interests or contain publisher-issued identifiers. Relaying a request does not guarantee anonymity. Embedded images, audio, video, and players may connect directly to their providers when loaded, even if you do not press play.
  • Support Correspondence: If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, and use it to respond and handle your request. Do not send sign-in links, verification codes, or other credentials.

3. Third-Party Services

When you use Feedetta, certain external services may be engaged:

  • Feed & Podcast Publishers: Feedetta retrieves publisher content through our relays or direct browser connections. Direct connections disclose network information, including your IP address, to the publisher or CDN. Publisher content may contain advertisements or tracking, and publisher-issued URLs may contain identifiers. Those requests are subject to the provider's privacy practices.
  • Apple Podcast Search: Podcast search connects from your browser to Apple's iTunes Search API, which receives your search terms and network information, including your IP address. Discovery charts and catalog lookups also use Apple's services.
  • Embedded Media: Articles and show notes may contain YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, or Spotify players, images, or other media. When loaded, they may receive your IP address, device/browser information, and cookies or identifiers allowed by your browser, and process information under their own privacy policies.
  • Supabase (Optional Sync): If you sign in, Supabase processes your email address, account authentication information, and sync records to provide authentication and database hosting.
  • Cloudflare: Cloudflare Workers host Feedetta, relay and cache content, and send authentication emails. Cloudflare processes web traffic, email delivery information, and operational logs to provide these services.

Requests to publishers, Apple, and embedded media providers are subject to their own privacy practices. Supabase and Cloudflare process information as providers supporting Feedetta. These services may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Feedetta does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use browser storage for application functionality. Third-party content may use its own cookies or storage, subject to your browser settings:

  • IndexedDB: Stores feeds, articles, playback states, preferences, and local database indexes.
  • Cache Storage: Stores the service worker application shell and downloaded audio episodes.
  • localStorage: Retains bootstrap preferences (such as theme), playback recovery information, and the optional sign-in session, including authentication tokens and sign-in verification state.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Local Device Data: Settings → Your data → Maintenance & reset → Reset local data clears the local library, downloaded episodes, and local acknowledgement history. It does not clear all browser storage or sign you out; if you remain signed in, sync may restore cloud records. Sign out before resetting if you want the device to stay disconnected. To remove remaining site storage, use your browser's site-data controls; you will need to sign in again if you later use sync.
  • Sync Account Deletion: If you have enabled cross-device sync and wish to delete your account and synced data from our servers, request deletion at privacy@feedetta.com. Signing out or clearing local storage does not delete your cloud account or synced records.
  • Retention: Account, sync, and account acknowledgement records are retained while the account is active unless deletion is requested. Local resets and sign-out do not delete account acknowledgement records. Operational logs, caches, and provider backups have separate retention lifecycles; deletion of active records may not immediately remove copies from those systems. Information may be retained as required for security, resolving disputes, or compliance with applicable law.
  • Privacy Requests: You may contact privacy@feedetta.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold about you, or to exercise other rights available under applicable law. We may need to verify account ownership and will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and TallyTic LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@feedetta.com so we can investigate and address it.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Service, our practices, or applicable law. Each published version is preserved in the document history. Changes requiring renewed acknowledgement will be identified with a summary and shown in the app. Editorial changes may be published without a new acknowledgement. We will provide any additional notice or obtain separate consent required by applicable law.
